Beginner

Beginner climbing shoes are primarily designed for comfort and durability. These types of shoes often feature stiff midsoles, flat soles and low asymmetry (the shoe shape is usually closer to the natural shape of a foot). Unlike shoes for more experienced climbers, beginner shoes should fit comfortably without painful pressure points and will often be the same size as your street shoes. A proper fit means snug with no dead space, but never painful.
